If you own both the Note 9 and Gear VR with Controller, the new USB Type-C adapter can be obtained by calling 1-800-Samsung.<br \/>\nThe Note 9\u2019s &#8220;increased size\u201d has led to compatibility issues with last year\u2019s headset, according to Samsung. The display is only 0.1 inches bigger than the Note 8, but those slightly larger dimensions are enough to cause a problem. The headset will fit the Note 9 once the adapter is inserted.<br \/>\nAfter contacting Samsung, you\u2019ll need to provide the Gear VR model and serial number located on the side of the headset. The company will ship the adapter to you for free, but it could take up to 10 business days for it to arrive.
